Content of ISTE-T Standard
1. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity
Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
a. Promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness
b. Engage students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources
c. Promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes
d. Model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments
Evidence 1: Chatterpix
Chatterpix is a great way to inspire student creativity using technology. It is fun, active, and engaging while also introducing me to the class. Hopefully, this makes communicating with me easier and facilitates an environment that communication is key.
Evidence 2: PBL lesson plan
The Problem Based Learning lesson plan is all about inspiring student creativity. They get to choose their own topic to survey and pick their own graph to coordinate with it. Also, students will get more familiar with each other through this and create an environment where everyone is comfortable around each other. This should impact students learning tremendously in a positive way.
2. Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments
Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the Standards-S.
a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity
b. Develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress
c. Customize and personalize learning activities to address students’ diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources
d. Provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards, and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching
Evidence 1: Chatterpix
Chatterpix is a great way to develop digital age learning experiences. It incorporates videos that can be up to 30 seconds long so it is a great way to do introductions that aren't as boring. Students can be as creative as they want with this, and hopefully they learn a great tool to be used in the future. Also, it creates an environment that students should be as creative as they can be.
Evidence 2: Popplet Concept Map
This concept map is a great way of using technology to help students learn. Thanks to the digital tools, I have a great visual map of linear equations. This should help some students learn and provide an alternative way of looking at things. This is more personalized to those students who are visual learners. This is a way to show everyone learns different, and everyone can benefit from multiple points of view.
3. Model digital age work and learning
Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.
a. Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations
b. Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation
c. Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats
d. Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning
Evidence 1: Smore
Smore is a great tool to create professional flyers using technological tools. It is a great way to communicate information with parents, students, and peers. It is a quick and professional way to disperse information to a lot of people. One of the ways I would use it is if I was having an open house for parents. Students can also get creative and use this for their own personal use if they want.
Evidence 2: Google Docs
Google Docs is a great way to collaborate with peers on a group project. Google docs allows everyone to be working on the project at the same time while also saving the work constantly. This technological system works beautifully as I have used them for many projects as a student. As a teacher this is also useful because it shows who has done what, so I can see if they all worked on it equally or if one person did majority.

Teachers understand local and global societal issues and responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal and ethical behavior in their professional practices.
a. Advocate, model, and teach safe, legal, and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for copyright, intellectual property, and the appropriate documentation of sources
b. Address the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered strategies providing equitable access to appropriate digital tools and resources
c. Promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information
d. Develop and model cultural understanding and global awareness by engaging with colleagues and students of other cultures using digital age communication and collaboration tools
Evidence 1: Digital Citizenship Lesson Plan
The Digital Citizenship lesson plan is a great way of modeling appropriate behavior on the internet while also covering course content. It teaches the dangers of cyberbullying and pulls up statistics that show how serious it is. Also, they will get to interact with each other to discuss and play a board game that will hopefully have them engaged.
Evidence 2: Cyberbullying infographic
The cyberbullying infographic shows that I have a good understanding of societal issues by bringing up good statistics. These statistics show what needs to be changed and hopefully impacts some kids. By showing this infographic it should create a safer environment.

c. Evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning
d. Contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community

My E-Portfolio shows what I have learned and achieved throughout the year. It shows some of my best, professional work. Also, it promotes the community to take advantage of these digital tools I have used to make me more effective as a teacher and peer.
Evidence 2: Technology Skills (PD Excel Evaluation) - Before, After.
My technology skills assessment shows growth in my understanding of how to integrate technology effectively. By being able to include technology in the best way I am improving my teaching skills. Also, it shows I am up to date on how technology is being used and the ways it can benefit a classroom.
