HELLO!
Welcome to my E-Portfolio
ABOUT MEMr. EadsHi, I am a Sophomore at Indiana University. I graduated from Bloomington High School South with a 4.0 GPA. I have grown up and always been around the Bloomington area, so it is no stranger to me. Currently, I am working on a Bachelor's degree in secondary education math at Indiana. I will be teaching high school students and more than likely Juniors or Seniors. Math has always been my favorite subject and came to me fairly easily, so I can't wait to pass on the knowledge I have gained.

Pedagogical Beliefs as a Teacher:
I believe that the key to success in the classroom is to have the motivation to push yourself and give effort. It gets hard sometimes, but as long as you keep pushing I believe everything will turn out well. Effort is the main thing in my classroom. As long as you are trying my class everything should be easy. What I mean by "trying" is to be actively listening and participating, asking questions, and completing all of the assignments. My classroom is very open, there are no "dumb" questions as I encourage everyone to stop me and ask if anything is the slightest confusing. I will also be there to help outside of class, either before or after school. I know math is a difficult subject for some so I respect the need for extra help, as long as you show effort by setting up a time to meet. |
Technology Beliefs:
A lot of people have different beliefs about technology, but I believe it is important for all students to be comfortable with. With all of the technology nowadays I think it is vital to understand it somewhat to be able to play a role in society. However, with this being said, There won't be too much focus in my class on technology integration. My class will focus more on the math aspect and the students will be using paper and pencil. In most cases calculators won't be allowed for tests so it is important to learn the material by hand. My main goal is for the students to understand the math, and the technology integration would be for projects for fun. |
